Hello there, I am a Professional Coach and Training Consultant. I am a native of Dublin but have been living in the Limerick region for over 20 years. I live with my family in the lovely picturesque village of Castleconnell. I have over 25 years’ experience working in the Private and Public Sector as a Banker, an Entertainer, a HR Professional to name but a few. This varied experience has given me a unique perspective and attitude to how I work and influence others. After years of working for others, I felt undervalued, underutilised and a little adrift in the world of work, something was missing. I decided I wanted to take control of my own destiny and to have a job that made a difference to people’s lives. I found Professional Coaching.
I am an ICF (International Coach Federation) Accredited Professional Coach. Coaching is a wonderful tool which creates space from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It encourages us to look within ourselves and discover that we are all resourceful, creative and whole. Coaching can help us face the stresses and challenges of work and family life. Coaching is about the present and how we can set ourselves goals to move forward, it is action-orientated and solution focussed. Coaching looks at the barriers that stop us from achieving personal and professional success.
Coaching provides a safe, trusting, non-judgemental and confidential space where you will be listened to and where you can work through the issues that are affecting you.
Areas of speciality include career coaching, financial coaching, life coaching.
I am also a Qualified Financial Advisor and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. I am based at Angelways Holistic Centre and Can be contacted through Angelways or 087 9391553.
Lic.TCM. Traditional Chinese Medicine
Advanced Certificate in Integrated Cupping Therapy
Professional Register of Traditional Chinese Medicine Member
My journey to becoming a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner grew out of my own beneficial experiences with acupuncture and a seeking for more harmonious approach to working life.
My original career was in Art Direction for film and television. Working with many hardworking people during that time has given me a very personal understanding of the demands and stresses that can present themselves in fast paced work environments and the struggles people often have to try to maintain a sense of harmony in their lives. When we push too hard for too long we run the risk of running low on resources leaving ourselves open to health challenges.
Traditional Chinese Medicine focuses not only on treating the presenting medical condition but seeks to identify and address the underlying cause with the intention of preventing further similar problems in the future.
“Melanie is a member of The Professional Register of Traditional Chinese Medicine which is recognized by VHI, Laya Healthcare and all leading health insurance companies.”
Myra has over thirty year’s experience in health care. She believes that therapy is most helpful and successful within a safe, trusting relationship between the client and the therapist.
This includes helping people to identify their feelings and their needs and to see options for change. Myra provides gentle, non-judgmental feedback and paces the process to respect the client’s boundaries. Some of her areas of specialization are eating disorders, alcohol/substance abuse, depression, loss and grief, relationship issues, anxiety, living with chronic pain and anger management. She also works with couples and groups. Her chosen approach is often Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but she has been trained in and integrates many other approaches. She creates a warm, gentle and safe environment for clients in which they can work together to reach their goal.
“I work with all age groups, individuals, couples, families and groups. Working with children and adolescents usually necessitates the provision of support for parents/guardians in addition to liaison with school if required. With regard to eating difficulties, Nutritional education and support is offered in addition to linking with family members to illicit their support for the client going forward. For Children and adolescents with eating distress Family Based Treatment is recommended.
My work as a Psychotherapist is to provide support for those who present with a wide range of psychological and emotional distress. Safe holding is vital. Anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement, work related and family conflicts, relationship challenges, eating disorders, Sexual abuse, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress and self harm are just some of the themes that present in my day to day practice. My approach is warm and I will guide the client(s) towards recovery.
I also do hypnotic suggestion for weight loss but it would also involve CBT to discover the reason for your eating habits. If it’s emotional eating that is the issue, then the client have to deal with the emotions involved. Hypnosis is used to help you deal with stress and teach you how to relax as part of a wider treatment plan.
I am based at Angelways, Castleconnell,Co Limerick.”

I practice a variety of Massage list as follows:
Deep Tissue Massage
Indian Head Massage
Abhyana – A form of Ayurvedic medicine that involves massage of the boy with large amounts of warm oil. It is a deeply relaxing, and rejuvenating experience.
Indian Reflexology – is a alternative method to treat the whole body through the feet using specific points that correspond to different parts of the body.
Ayur Yogic – A combination of Ayurveda and Yoga, where yoga positions are combined with a deep tissue massage, to help direct good energy around the body, creating a balanced flow.
Reiki – help activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being.
Bio-Dynamics – This is a unique combination of mind and body therapy.
The main aim of Biodynamic Pschotherapy is to help individuals reconnect with, experience and reinforce their own primary personality or core. The primary personality can be defined as this space of being within ourselves that knows that it is connected to our true sense of self and purpose in life
The body has the ability to self regulate during moments of stress. In daily life we are regularly confronted with all kinds of emotions and stresses, which can lead to tension. Some feelings and stresses can be stronger than others. We are not always able to express these emotions or to cope with too much stress and tension. The self regulating ability of the body reacts to stress by building a protective shield. If a person repeatedly represses feelings and emotions and conflicts remain unresolved, then tension and stress cannot be released.
This protective resistance grows layer by layer and self regulation of the body is hindered.
I am highly trained and years experienced holistic therapist, Certified in many areas of traditional Indian Massage, as well as Bio-dynamic Psychotherapy. I spent many years living in India learning from professional practitioners and experts in their field.

The ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning.
Intuition is an instinct that we all have, yet for most of us we have been taught to dismiss it as irrational, even irresponsible in decision making. Society has taught us that logic matters more than instinct, so we have learned to ignore intuition and use logic alone to get by. That’s why so many people are experiencing burnout while struggling to reach their potential. They hold onto negative thoughts – both learned and inherited, such as fear, anxiety and anger. These negative emotions cause them to feel lost and confused in life.
Yet, when we use both our intuition and logic to make decisions, we can succeed in what we do.
We all have this instinct within to manage life’s challenges. This is not some airy fairy idea. The emerging field of intuition is a powerful force that is within each one of us. Growing research is showing us the effect of fine tuning this potent resource that so often remains unused.
When you take back control and responsibility of your life, you have the power to change your life. Yet for many, their intuition has been lying dormant for so long, that they don’t know how to access it. I’m here to show you how.
What I Treat:
- Work and social anxiety
- Lack of focus
- Sadness & depression
- Limiting and self-sabotaging beliefs
- Physical pain and illness
